Featured Producer: Parsonage Soaps
Parsonage Handmade Soap began in 1997 after two friends with a passion for gardening and handcrafted products decided to make their own soap one Christmas. Dick Darr, a third generation soapmaker, uses his chemistry background to perfect their recipes. Julie Pieper’s accounting degree kept the business end running smoothly. Together, they created the scent blends that make their soaps so popular. After 23 years, co-founder Julie Pieper and family moved out of the area, but continues to stay connected with the business by devising new scents. Dick and Sally’s children, Molly and Alex, joined the family business and are instrumental in providing administrative, technical, and social media support. This is all in addition to their day jobs!!
The Parsonage products are handmade from start to finish using original recipes. The soaps contain no animal fats and are scented with plant essential oils or cosmetic grade fragrances. Each hand cut bar weighs at least 3.5 ounces and is wrapped in cotton fabric with a recycled paper wrapper. Their vegetable oils are non-GMO certified, our fragrances are phthalate free, and the palm oil is RSPO sustainable.
We are pleased that Parsonage Soaps will be represented in your Co-op soon!
